How to make me a fancy coffee

Get out the Aeropress and make sure you have all the pieces.
Fill electric kettle and turn on. (
Let water come to a boil and then sit and cool a bit while doing other tasks. Ideal temp is approximately 180 degrees.)
Fill an oversize mug with 10oz of whole milk. Microwave for 1m 30s on 80% power.
Put paper filter in bottom piece of Aeropress. Screw onto top piece.
Measure two scoops of espresso ground coffee in to the top of the Aeropress.
Remove milk from microwave.
Set Aeropress on top of mug of warm milk. 
Pour water from the kettle into top of Aeropress, wetting all grounds and filling to the 2 mark. 
Stir gently with fancy t-shape stirrer for a count of 10.
Wet end of Aeropress plunger under the faucet.
Insert plunger into Aeropress and press slowly and steadily. There will be a moderate to significant push back as the water attempts to move through the grounds. Maintain steady pressure and you will eventually hear air escaping from the bottom of the Aeropress and the plunger will sink to the bottom easily. 
Bring entire Aeropress unit to sink, flip over and unscrew bottom piece. The paper filter will stick to the grounds. Turn press back over to allow all drips to fall in the sink.
Bring Aeropress to food waste bucket and depress plunger fully. This will eject the puck of used coffee grounds and paper filter.
Rinse any remaining grounds from bottom of plunger.
Scoop, t-shaped stirrer and filter holder bottom piece will all fit back into the top of the Aeropress.
Stir espresso with milk and serve. 

(Or go to Starbucks and get me a venti whole milk latte. Better yet, bring me back a maple latte from Arabica.)

Let's begin in the middle, shall we? I am currently a mother of three boys, wife and part-time Sephora Girl. I drive people places, schedule stuff, buy food, cook food, etc. Motherhood is chock full of etc. Before all of this, I was a kid in Maine, in Chicago, back in Maine, chatty and brainy with a late edition of sporty in high school and college. Then, I was a college dropout twice, a diagnosed crazy person and a daily newspaper page layout designer. I met a boy, married him and moved to NoVA. I was a full-time Sephora manager until I got on the Mommy track. I dig the Mommy track, it moves at my speed, the company is entertaining and there is plenty of time to play Candy Crush. 

I used to write easily, with nary a thought. Now, not so much. Time to flex those muscles again!
